About the event

Join us at the Wagner for a lesson on the Human Body and Comparative Anatomy! The lesson will begin in the historic lecture hall. Students will participate in an interactive science lesson and then will be invited up to the front to participate in a touch table. Students will then be able to touch and interact with the natural history specimen used in the lesson. Following the lesson, we will move upstairs to their gallery for a scavenger hunt.

Please note the following in regards to the Wagner:

The Wagner is in a historic building that opened in 1865. As a result, the museum does not have air conditioning or water fountains. It can be quite warm during the summer months and drafty over the winter. Students are encouraged to dress in a way that will keep them comfortable during the visit. Access to the building requires climbing stairs. There are no lifts or elevators.

While there is no eating in the museum, water bottles are encouraged. The tap water on site is drinkable and students can refill their bottles.

The Wagner is a free museum, but if you'd like to provide a donation at the time of our lesson you are welcome to. They suggest a donation of $5 per child.
