Registration and Payment
Families will register using our Acuity Scheduling page, choosing elementary evaluations for children in grades 6 and lower and secondary evaluations for children in grades 7-12. Our system will send out reminder emails with the zoom info, instructions for sharing each child’s portfolio (digital link or upload), and the email address of the evaluator you’ll be working with this year. Payment is due at registration to hold your spot in our calendar.
A parent/guardian and the child to be evaluated will attend the zoom meeting at the scheduled time. Please log into zoom 5 minutes ahead of time and change the zoom name so the evaluator can identify you in the waiting room. The evaluator will admit you into the meeting at your scheduled time.
In addition to reviewing the portfolio for required elements, the evaluation meeting will include a casual, lighthearted trip down homeschool/unschool memory lane with opportunities for your children to share about meaningful experiences from the year. This is also a great time for kids to show and tell about any recent projects they completed and books they love. Please be rest assured that there are no tests or quizzes during this meeting. We treat it as a celebration!
Our evaluation letters include all the legally required elements in Pennsylvania and will sent to the email address used at registration within 24 hours of the meeting. Please forward this letter to your school district by June 30th.
If you need to reschedule for any reason, you can hop back into the Acuity Scheduling system and reschedule your appointment. If none of the available appointment times suit your schedule, you can reach out to your evaluator directly (email address in the confirmation email) to find out if they have an additional time slot available. We may not be able to honor all rescheduling requests due to constraints, but we will always try our best!
If you need to cancel your evaluation, please email us at email@example.com as early as possible so we can fill your spot with another interested family. Please provide a minimum of 24 hours advance notice of cancellation to receive a refund, less any PayPal/Stripe processing fees.
No Show Policy
If you do not show up for your evaluation meeting within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time, we’ll assume this is a no-show situation. No Shows are eligible for a 50% refund less and PayPal/Stripe processing fees. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, we may or may not be able to schedule a new meeting due to scheduling constraints.
